SharePoint Online – how to view previous versions of a file without restoring

 

SharePoint’s user interface can be misleading at times. So when asked how you view previous version of a document without having to make it the most recent version , you’d think you’d just click on “view” and boom, you’d see the earlier version… No. All you get is the Document Properties history.

Enable anonymous read access to a Document Library in Office 365 public sites

anonymousNo, no. Not that type of anonymous access. I’m sure this is of no interest to them.

When using an Office 365 public site and you create a document library or list, by default you have to be logged in to view  it. Not great if you want to publish a bunch of documents out to the public…anonymously.

I’ve not seen one of these kicking around anywhere so I’ve created one based on the information from the Microsoft web site.

You can download the spreadsheet and filter it based on your requirements and see which SharePoint online plan meets your needs. All the feature names retain their original link back to the Microsoft page for further research into what the feature is and what it does.
