Manually running a full sync in DirSync for Office 365

A customer recently reported that passwords changed on premise weren’t being reflected in Office 365. Running a full sync in the FIMs client was the solution.

The Error

Log Name:      Application
Source:        FIMSynchronizationService

Task Category: Management Agent Run Profile

The management agent “Windows Azure Active Directory Connector” completed run profile “Delta Import Delta Sync” with a delta import or delta synchronization step type. The rules configuration has changed since the last full import or full synchronization.

User Action
To ensure the updated rules are applied to all objects, a run with step type of full import and full synchronization should be completed.

The Fix

  1. Navigate to the path C:\Program Files\Windows Azure Active Directory Sync\SYNCBUS\Synchronization Service\UIShell

  2. Launch the “miisclient.exe” and click on Management Agents.

  1. Right click on the Active Directory Connector and click on Run

  1. On the run dialogue, select Full Sync and click on OK

Hope this helps.
